AI API Keys
Enter your own API keys to use AI features. Keys are stored only in your browser session and cleared when you close the tab.
How to Get Your API Keys
To use AI-powered stock analysis features, you'll need to add your own API keys. Here's how to get them:
OpenAI API Key (for ChatGPT Analysis)
- Go to platform.openai.com/account/api-keys
- Log into your OpenAI account (or create one)
- Click "Create new secret key"
- Copy your key - it looks like:
sk-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - Paste it above in the "OpenAI" field
Note: OpenAI charges based on usage. Most stock scans cost fractions of a cent.
xAI Grok API Key (for Second AI Engine)
- Go to console.x.ai
- Log in with your X/Twitter account
- Go to API Keys
- Generate a new key
- Copy your key - it looks like:
xai-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - Paste it above in the "Grok (xAI)" field
Note: Grok API requires X Premium subscription.
Your Keys Are Protected
- Keys are stored securely on the server, never in your browser
- Keys are used only to analyze stocks on your behalf
- You control your own AI usage and costs
- Keys are automatically removed when you log out

Stock Scoring System
The trending ticker bar uses a Combined Volume Score (0-100) to rank stocks by news activity.
Score Calculation
- 50% - Mention Count (how many articles reference the stock)
- 50% - Source Diversity (how many different news sources mention it)
The stock with the highest combined activity scores 100. All others scale proportionally.

AI Conflict Resolution
When OpenAI and Grok disagree on a stock's valuation, the system uses a Matrix Score (M:XX) to determine the winner.
Matrix Score Calculation
- 50% - Confidence Level (0-100% from AI)
- 20% - Sentiment Score (bullish=90, neutral=50, bearish=10)
- 30% - Risk Assessment (low=90, medium=50, high=10)
Final Score = (0.5 x Confidence) + (0.2 x Sentiment) + (0.3 x Risk)
How Conflicts Are Resolved

- URL Validation - Each feed is verified before being added
