Estimated off-exchange trading volume. Typically 35-50% of total daily volume occurs in dark pools.
Z-score measuring how unusual today's volume is vs 30-day average. Score >2 indicates significant deviation.
Large institutional transactions. High block activity suggests institutional interest.
Based on volume patterns + price action. Bullish = high volume + rising price. Accumulation = above-average volume.

About Golden Ears Finance
Golden Ears Finance is your AI-powered market intelligence command center, designed for the modern investor who refuses to be the last to know.
The Problem We Solve
In today's markets, information is power - but information overload is paralysis. Retail investors face an impossible task: monitoring dozens of news sources, tracking social sentiment, analyzing derivative activity, and spotting emerging narratives - all while institutional players have armies of analysts doing this 24/7.
By the time you read about a hot stock on your favorite financial site, the smart money has already moved. You're not late because you're slow - you're late because you're human.
What Golden Ears Does
We aggregate, analyze, and alert - so you can act with confidence:
- Real-time RSS Feed Aggregation - 116 global sources (110 RSS, 5 Atom, 1 API) including Yahoo Finance, Bloomberg, Reuters, CNBC, FT, and regional exchanges across 8 regions
- Triple AI Analysis with GEF Directive - OpenAI, Grok, and Gemini with automatic failover. All AI outputs governed by the GEF Core Analytical Directive for factual, grounded, non-advisory analysis
- Short Interest Scanner & Heat Maps - Algorithmic scanner identifies potential short squeeze candidates with tiered keyword scoring before they trend
- AI-Powered Market Narrative Tracking - Monitors 26 market themes (AI boom, rate cuts, earnings surprises) with momentum scoring and source quality tiers
- Interactive TradingView Charts - OHLCV data with technical indicators and 1-year historical retention
- Price Alerts & AI Breaking News Scanner - Price triggers, news keywords, and AI-powered breaking news detection with severity and market impact analysis
- Undervalued/Overvalued Stock Screening - Track stocks by valuation with manual data input and screening tools

The Golden Ears Advantage
We call it "Golden Ears" because the platform gives you the hearing of a seasoned Wall Street insider - picking up whispers across 179 sources, social media sentiment, dark pool transactions, and emerging narratives that others miss.
- One Dashboard - Everything you need without switching between 15 browser tabs
- Your Keys, Your Data - Bring your own AI API keys with encrypted storage; we never see your credentials
- Mobile-Ready PWA - Install on any device for native app experience with push notifications
- No Noise - Relevance scoring, smart filtering, and AI summaries cut through the chaos

ETF Dual AI Analysis
Get comprehensive AI-powered analysis for any ETF using both OpenAI and Grok:
How to Use
- AI Button - Click the robot icon next to any ETF in the categories
- Dual Analysis - Both OpenAI and Grok evaluate the ETF simultaneously
- Matrix Scores - Each AI receives a weighted score (confidence + sentiment + risk)
- Conflict Resolution - When AIs disagree, the higher Matrix Score wins
Analysis Includes
| Component | Description |
|---|---|
| Recommendation | BUY / HOLD / SELL rating |
| Confidence | 0-100% certainty level |
| Key Factors | Main drivers of the recommendation |
| Market Outlook | How conditions affect this ETF |
API keys required: Add your OpenAI and/or Grok API keys in Settings to enable Dual AI Analysis.
AI Conflict Resolution
When OpenAI and Grok disagree on a stock's valuation, the system uses a Matrix Score (M:XX) to determine the winner.
Matrix Score Calculation
- 50% - Confidence Level (0-100% from AI)
- 20% - Sentiment Score (bullish=90, neutral=50, bearish=10)
- 30% - Risk Assessment (low=90, medium=50, high=10)
Final Score = (0.5 x Confidence) + (0.2 x Sentiment) + (0.3 x Risk)
How Conflicts Are Resolved
| Scenario | Result |
|---|---|
| OpenAI says BUY, Grok says SELL | Higher Matrix Score wins |
| Both AIs agree | Stock is added normally |
| Only one AI recommends | That AI's opinion is used |
Matrix Score Colors
The Matrix Score appears as M:XX below the AI badge when available. Stocks with conflicts show a dashed border on their AI badge.

DIS Alerts System
Get notified when derivative market pressure on your watched stocks exceeds your specified thresholds.
How DIS Alerts Work
- Set Custom Thresholds - Click any stock ticker to open its modal, then set a DIS threshold (40-100). You'll be alerted when the score crosses above your threshold.
- Background Monitoring - The system checks DIS scores every 2 hours and 15 minutes. When scores exceed your thresholds, alerts are generated automatically.
- 12-Hour Cooldown - To prevent alert fatigue, each ticker has a 12-hour cooldown between alerts. You won't be spammed with repeated notifications.
- Alerts Inbox - View all triggered alerts in the DIS Alerts panel. Unread alerts show a badge count. Mark as read or manage your alert rules easily.
Access DIS Alerts through the Alerts section. The badge shows unread alert count.
Derivative Impact Score (DIS)
The DIS is a quantitative 0-100 scoring system that measures derivative market pressure on individual stocks. It helps identify when unusual options activity, dark pool trading, or other derivative factors may impact a stock's price.
Score Components
- 25% - Dark Pool Activity (institutional trading volumes)
- 20% - Social Interest Score (Reddit mention frequency)
- 15% - Macro Event Sensitivity (exposure to economic events)
- 15% - Earnings Proximity (days until earnings report)
- 15% - Squeeze Potential (short interest and options flow)
- 10% - ETF Concentration (weight across ETF holdings)
DIS Score Levels
| Score | Level | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 75-100 | Extreme | Very high derivative pressure |
| 50-74 | High | Significant activity worth monitoring |
| 25-49 | Medium | Moderate activity, typical for active stocks |
| 0-24 | Low | Minimal derivative pressure |
DIS is computed every 2 hours. View a stock's DIS in the ticker modal. Set custom alerts (40-100 threshold) to be notified when derivative pressure exceeds your threshold.
Step-by-Step: Setting Up DIS Alerts
- Find a Stock: Click any ticker in the Trending Tickers bar, Watchlist tables, or Short Interest Scanner

| L Funds | Lifecycle Funds | Target-date funds (L 2025, L 2030, L 2035, L 2040, etc.) |
Articles mentioning specific funds display fund badges, making it easy to find news relevant to your allocation.

| 50-79 | Relevant | Contains multiple TSP-related keywords |
| 20-49 | Somewhat Relevant | Contains some retirement or federal employee terms |

Why TSP is Separate
The TSP module is intentionally isolated from the primary Golden Ears Finance feed system for several important reasons:
- Focus - Federal retirement news shouldn't compete with market volatility headlines
- Relevance - TSP-specific scoring wouldn't apply well to general market news
- Performance - Dedicated fetching ensures TSP content is always available
- Clarity - Clear separation prevents confusion between investment strategies
Federal Employee Tip: The TSP module is designed specifically for federal employees and military personnel. For general market analysis, use the main Dashboard, Narratives, and other modules. Use TSP Feeds for focused retirement planning content.
