Golden Ears aggregates 143 financial sources and 15 finance podcasts, runs triple-AI analysis, and delivers clear explanations of market events — so you can research with confidence instead of reacting to headlines.
SEC filings, earnings surprises, dividend cuts, squeeze setups, macro shifts — Golden Ears surfaces the events that actually matter, early enough to act on your own research.
There's no shortage of financial data. The problem is that most of it is noise — recycled headlines, social media hype, and hot takes that bury the events that actually move markets.
By the time you notice an SEC filing, a dividend cut, or an earnings miss, the story is already priced in. The edge isn't more data — it's earlier clarity.
Signal over Noise. Explanation over Prediction. Restraint over Hype.
Golden Ears is a market intelligence platform — not a trading bot, signal service, or recommendation engine. We surface what's happening and explain why it matters. You make your own decisions.
Every tool is designed to help you understand what's happening in markets and why it matters
Financial news from 143 global sources across 9 regions — automatically filtered and deduplicated. Now includes official government data agencies (BLS, CFTC, IMF, World Bank, BIS, EIA), regional Federal Reserves, crypto outlets (Decrypt, The Block, Bitcoin Magazine), ESG Today, and international coverage across Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa. AI extracts tickers and categorizes every story so nothing important gets buried.
Episodes from 15 curated finance podcasts are automatically fetched, deduplicated, and surfaced alongside news articles. Covers macro strategy, equity analysis, fixed income, commodities, and geopolitics — so you hear expert discussion of the same events you're tracking in the feeds.
Market data is sourced from a tiered multi-provider stack — licensed APIs (Alpha Vantage, Finnhub, Polygon, Twelve Data, Financial Modeling Prep) are tried in priority order with yfinance as the final fallback. Providers are selected based on availability and data quality, so price data and fundamentals remain reliable even when individual sources are down or rate-limited.
OpenAI, Grok, and Gemini independently analyze every signal. When they disagree, you see the conflict and reasoning. Automatic failover means insights never stop.

Surfaces real small-cap equity candidates with active catalysts — SEC filings, earnings surprises, regulatory events, insider activity, and secondary offerings. Scores each candidate across 7 components including event impact, volume confirmation, news velocity, novelty, and source diversity. Filters out OTC stocks and large-caps, requiring real market cap and price data before any ticker qualifies.
Identifies equities showing conditions historically associated with 52-week range expansion. Dual scoring: a Swing Score (range position, volume, volatility compression, momentum, sector tailwind) and an Institutional Conviction Score (source credibility, coverage depth, freshness, AI agreement). Seven semantic tiers — High Conviction, Institutional Accumulation, Emerging Intel, Volatility Expansion, Sector Momentum, Narrative Expansion, Watchlist — with cross-channel signal validation and on-demand per-ticker scoring.
Institutional-grade bull flag chart pattern detection with deterministic scoring and Grok AI interpretation. Scans equities for high-tight flag formations following strong trending moves — evaluating pole strength, consolidation depth, volume signature, breakout proximity, and sector alignment. Scores every candidate across 5 structural factors with confidence tiers. Scans run every 4 hours; alerts fire when high-conviction setups emerge.

Most paper trading apps let you trade instantly — which teaches nothing. Golden Ears requires you to document your thesis, verify your sources, stress-test your assumptions, and define your risk before any order goes through. The goal isn't speed — it's building research discipline that carries over to real investing.

Recent fixes and features — full public changelog
The Education Center now has complete documentation for every GEF section. Eleven new detailed guide cards were added covering: Macro Dashboard, Bonds & Fixed Income, T-Bill Intelligence, Dark Pool Transparency, Dividend Tracker, AI Weekly Report, Emerging Markets Spotlight, Swing Intel, Finance Podcasts, Research-First Trading Simulator, and User Data (Backup & Restore). The Analysis Criteria and Manual Data Input cards were also expanded from stubs to full guides.
The 'AI analysis not available' warning banner was incorrectly appearing on Super AI Picks results when the AI Matrix Score was simply absent — which is normal for candidates not in the stock watchlist. The banner no longer triggers for this case.
Fixed JSON parsing errors that were preventing screener watchlist results and AI Web Search responses from rendering correctly in certain edge cases.
Fixed errors in squeeze score calculations that were causing certain tickers to receive incorrect scores or be silently skipped during background scans. All squeeze candidates now complete scoring consistently.
When loading a ticker with limited historical data, the chart now automatically selects the first available metric instead of displaying a blank chart with an unresolvable selection.
Fixed a bug where navigating to the Historical Data section from certain other sections would not display chart data. The section now loads correctly regardless of which section was visited previously.
Accounts can now have collaborators with shared read access. Collaborators can view data and run analyses without being able to modify watchlists or settings.
Improved the candidate pool logic to better handle tickers that appear in multiple sourcing layers (RSS, trending, watchlist, narratives). Error handling during enrichment is now more resilient so a failure on one candidate does not affect others.
IPO detection now uses an extended article lookback window and a post-listing grace period so recent IPOs are not missed during the first days after their debut. Internal GEF articles are prioritised as the primary source before falling back to optional web searches. Company name extraction from press-wire articles has also been improved for more accurate IPO status tracking.
New market intelligence module for swing-trade candidate discovery. Each candidate is scored across two composite dimensions: Swing Score (price action, news velocity, short interest) and ICS — Institutional Conviction Score (dark pool share, block trades, unusual options). Candidates are organized into T1–T4 signal tiers by conviction level. Includes a dedicated in-section How-To Guide.
Swing Intel candidate cards now display live RSI-14 values with rising/falling trend direction. A filter bar lets you narrow candidates by RSI zone (oversold, neutral, overbought) with a live count of how many candidates are hidden by the active filter.
The Daily Briefing now includes a Swing Intel highlights section, surfacing the top T1/T2 candidates with their Swing Score and ICS from the most recent scan directly inside the briefing view.
Power User and Elite subscribers now see shareable social media snippets inside the Daily Briefing. Each snippet is a pre-formatted market observation ready to share on LinkedIn, Twitter/X, or copy to clipboard.
Social snippet cards now include a dedicated Twitter/X share button alongside the existing copy-to-clipboard option.
Your Classic vs. Matrix view preference in the Daily Briefing is now saved across sessions. The app remembers which view you last used and opens to it automatically.
The 'PDF not available on your plan' message can now be dismissed by clicking anywhere on the backdrop, in addition to the close button.
Fixed an incorrect tier assignment where candidates surfaced from both the market scanner and trending feeds were being labelled T2. They are now correctly classified as T4, reflecting the weaker signal overlap between those two sources.
Background scheduler jobs (RSS fetch, AI scans, DIS scoring) were not correctly resolving user-configured API keys in certain execution paths. All background tasks now consistently use the correct keys.
Fixed a startup error caused by an incorrectly registered database model that was preventing the application from initialising cleanly in some environments.
The All-Events and Housing-Events panels in Bonds & Fixed Income are now fully populated with real classified bond articles sourced from the general finance feed. 87+ events categorized across treasury, central bank, inflation, and corporate topics.
